Agriculture And Food Security

Charity brings to life again those who are spiritually dead.

Thomas Aquinas

IFD’s food security and livelihoods programs tackle the root causes of hunger among our communities by addressing problems of production, access, and route to market and income. Incorporating a wide array of activities customized to meet a community’s specific needs, our programs are designed to boost agricultural production, jumpstart local market activity, support micro-enterprise initiatives, and otherwise enhance a vulnerable community’s access to sustainable sources of food and income.

Working with youths down to the farmers in communities our projects are structures to enhance the value chain and ensure that we maximize the potential that is within our robust lands and have communities sustainably depending on agriculture for their livelihoods.

Our partners including private companies are very keen on ensuring that we create a lasting impact on these communities and together we foresee a future where youths are proudly involved in agriculture and food production while having a clear picture of the value chain and that communities and free from hunger.
